Who we are
CoHiv Technologies Ltd (“CoHiv”, “we”, “us”) is a software company that provides an operating system for residential estates and communities. This notice explains how we handle personal information collected through our websites, mobile apps and APIs.
What we collect
- Account information you give us — name, email, phone number, residence and role within the estate.
- Operational records — invoices, payments (rail and amount, never card numbers), visitor logs, ticket reports.
- Device and connection metadata used for security and audit (IP, user agent, session timestamps).
What we don't collect
- We do not collect card numbers — payments go directly through Paystack, Stripe, Wise, M-Pesa and MTN MoMo, who handle card data under PCI-DSS.
- We do not sell, rent or share personal information with advertising networks.
How we use it
We use personal information to operate the platform, deliver notifications, reconcile payments, prevent fraud, comply with applicable law and improve the product. Every estate's data remains the estate's — we are the operator, not the owner.
Where data lives
Primary infrastructure runs in Frankfurt and Cape Town with daily encrypted backups. All data in transit is TLS 1.3; data at rest is encrypted with industry-standard AES-256. Access to production is logged, rotated and multi-factor authenticated.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected, or request deletion at any time. Estate-level deletion follows the estate's legal retention obligations.
